Moshe Gromb – Founder of “Nadav Publishing House”
Moshe Gromb is a fourth generation volunteer who has been active in community service for more than five decades across a wide range of fields. From a young age, volunteering has been a core value in his life. During his work at Motorola, he volunteered to assist students at the school located near the company.
In recognition of his contribution, he received Motorola’s Global Volunteer Award.
He is the founder and chairman of the “Jump to a New Way” association, which works to provide equal opportunities for all populations and reduce social gaps in Israeli society. He also serves as a board member and head of fundraising for the “Melo HaTene” association, which provides food baskets to approximately 800 people in need.
In recognition of his activities, he was awarded the Geller Prize for Community Volunteering in Kfar Saba.
He is a member of the national volunteering initiative in the “Information, Knowledge and Research” team, lectures on volunteering and social involvement, and provides consultation and assistance to young entrepreneurs in establishing non profit organizations and social business initiatives. He also served on the boards of the associations “Nadav – The Israeli Center for Youth Volunteering,” “TZALEH – Citizen Teams for Improving Israeli Society,” and the “National Excellence House” association.
He previously served as an advisor to the Mayor of Kfar Saba on volunteering and community building.
In recent years, he has focused on advancing research and preserving knowledge in the field of volunteering. He founded “Nadav Publishing House” in order to promote the culture of volunteering, giving, and social involvement in Israeli society. The books published by the company combine research, theoretical, and practical perspectives on volunteering in Israel and around the world. To date, 57 books written by him have been published, including 34 books about Jews who saved fellow Jews during the Holocaust. In addition, several documentary films have been produced and released, commemorating the heroism and legacy of Jews who rescued fellow Jews during the Holocaust.
In recognition of his national contribution to the field of volunteering, he received a unique award in February 2017 from the Government of Israel, JDC Israel, and the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services. The award honored his unique contribution to spreading meaningful and high quality knowledge among professionals in the volunteering sector, his role in promoting a culture of knowledge sharing among organizations managing volunteers, and his support for advancing volunteering within Israeli society.
In January 2018, he established the Action Committee for the Recognition of Jews Who Saved Jews During the Holocaust within the Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Law.
